Lumiere, an AI video production model, has established a new benchmark in video creation technology.

Its core innovation lies in the STUNet framework, which uniquely determines the placement and movement of objects in a video over time, allowing for seamless video rendering in a single process, unlike the conventional method of stitching together multiple still frames.

The process starts with Lumiere creating an initial frame based on a command. Using STUNet, the model then predicts the movement of objects within this frame, generating additional frames that fluidly merge, creating an impression of continuous and realistic motion.

Lumiere is notable for producing 80 frames per sequence, surpassing the 25 frames offered by its contemporary Stable Video Diffusion.

Lumiere transcends traditional text-to-video production, offering functionalities like image-to-video transformation, stylized production for specific visual styles, and the creation of cinemographs that animate only certain sections of a video.
