Steven Yi, President of Huawei Middle East and Central Asia, emphasized the significance of this development, noting that Huawei Cloud is not just a technological choice but a strategic decision for achieving Vision 2030.

The AI initiatives are centered on Huawei’s Pangu model and the ModelArts AI development platform, which are integral to building intelligent applications across various industries.


These technologies are expected to optimize computing power, lower operational costs, and ensure secure, low-latency service delivery. The Saudi government has already leveraged Huawei Cloud to develop an Arabic Large Language Model (LLM), supporting over 20 AI applications.

Huawei Cloud’s public cloud business in Saudi Arabia has seen a tenfold revenue increase in 2023, underlining the growing demand for digital solutions. The company currently serves over 300 customers, including government bodies, telecom operators, and media firms.

In addition to technological advancements, Huawei is also focused on developing local talent. The company has launched initiatives to build a robust local ecosystem, developing over 100 partners and training more than 3,000 university students in ICT fields.
